We Provide Business Courses, Coaching & Advising Services that Help You Turn Your Nursing Experience into a Sustainable Business
The Liberated Nurse Business Academy (LNBA) is designed to help 4 types of nurses who are looking for more freedom, fulfillment, and financial security.

THINKING ABOUT starting a business & have questions (Stage 0)

READY TO START a business & want expert guidance (Early Stage 1)

HAVE A BUSINESS that's not generating consistent income (Late Stage 1)

HAVE A BUSINESS & want to take it to the next level (Stage 2 & beyond)
What Are Developmental Stages in Business?
Developmental stages in business refer to the natural progression businesses undergo as they grow and mature.
Similar to human development, business development stages come with distinct characteristics, challenges, and milestones that a business must complete. Skipping developmental milestones can undermine a business's ability to thrive.
Understanding which stage a business is in helps nurse business owners identify current needs, anticipate future hurdles, and apply appropriate strategies for sustainable growth and success.
Key factors such as financial resources, personnel, systems, resources, operations, managerial skills, and marketing strategies change across the stages.

Meet the Founder of the Liberated Nurse Business Academy

Hi, I'm Sharon Burch.
Through our online business courses, group coaching, and private 1:1 services, we show nurses how to grow thriving, sustainable businesses they love. Our clients value their nursing identity and the public’s trust. Now, they want to learn to increase their autonomy, freedom, and fulfillment.
I’ve been a holistic nurse entrepreneur since 1984 and a holistic continuing nursing education (CNE) provider since the mid-1990s, when I pioneered selling CNE courses online. I’ve studied business in-depth with many “conscious” online business mentors and translated their business practices into nursing practices.
I’ve founded several successful for-profit and nonprofit businesses, including a hospital-based massage therapy group practice, and I’ve provided business development and marketing consultation to the American Holistic Nurses Association, the American Holistic Nurses Credentialing Corporation, the Hawaii Yoga Institute, and others.
Today, I direct New Directions for Nurses, where the Liberated Nurse Business Academy and Development Community helps entrepreneurial nurses own their power, realize their potential, and grow thriving, sustainable businesses they love.
